There are a lot of kids musicians writing lots of great kids songs, but none of them seem to be doing it as frequently right now as the Seattle-based trio Recess Monkey. In a span of less than 24 months, they've released 3 albums, each with more great songs than the last. Tabby Road, their most recent effort, is their tightest and best. Songs like "S-L-Double E-P-Over" and "Monster Boogie" are tremendously ear-wormy; they make writing songs about such elementary-age subjects as birthday parties, pets, and monsters under the bed seem easy.
